3 P's Lead to Win
The Eagles used pressure, passing, and physicality to beat the Caledon Hawks on Thursday night 5-1.

Prior to the game the coaches gave the room to the kids to discuss what they needed to do to win and it looked like they figured it out. There was a noticeable edge to the Eagles game using their bodies to both gain possession of and protect the puck. There was an earnest attempt to pass the puck in all three zones of the ice. The Eagles were most successful passing out of their end alleviating any pressure the Hawks could muster including a 3 on 1 that Vaughn was able to break up and clear the zone. Special teams played a big part on Thursday as the Eagles scored two power play goals and one shorthanded from Easton. Once again Jack and Jack were stellar in net missing out on a shutout with 10 seconds to go in the game. A great burst and drive to the net by the Hawks player let him come across the front of the net and tuck it inside the post according to the referee who was wildly out of position to make that call. Regardless it was a much needed win for the Eagles who hope to keep the momentum going into their game against Oakville next Thursday.
