The Eagles traveled through icy
conditions on Tuesday night to face the Erin Devils for their first game of the
Tri-County playoffs. Unfortunately for the Eagles they couldn’t hold off the
red hot Devil’s and lost 4-1.
The Eagles goalies, Jack and Jack, earned their keep Tuesday making big save after big save. The Devil’s played a strong game from the start manufacturing multiple scoring opportunities, but it was two flukey goals in the first and begining of the second period that put them up 2-0. The Eagles finally got their legs under them in the second and played a better team defensive game which translated to better offense. Helped by Devil penalties the Eagles had scoring chances, but couldn’t capitalize until late in the game. At that point it was 3-1 Devils and they added one more for a final score of 4-1. The Eagles will host Caledon on Thursday.
