An OT Thriller
The Eagles hosted the neighbouring Oakville Rangers on Thursday night. The fans were treated to a fast and energetic game that went into over time in which the Eagles prevailed 2-1.

Both teams had lots of energy right from the start skating hard with and without the puck. The Eagles seem to have found their passing touch coming out of their zone and through the neutral zone creating scoring chances. However it was the Rangers who capitalized first on a giveaway in the neutral zone. It was 1-0 after 1 period. In the second the teams went back and forth but neither team was able to get the puck past the goalies. Finally in the third period Grady was able to put home a goal off of a rebound to tie the game up. In overtime the ranger defender fell behind his own net with the puck. Kai quickly swooped in and scored the winner with a backhand wrap around goal.
With some changes to the schedule to the Tri-County playoffs, because of the OMHA play downs, the Eagles find themselves in first place in their group.
The Eagles will face the Milton Winterhawks on Sunday in what might be the deciding game to see who advances to the championship round.
