Minor Bantam AA Blue, Under 14, 2018-2019 (Burlington City Rep Hockey Club)

As the first month of the season comes to an end I'd like to thank all the players and parents for their hard work. A strong emphasis on defensive play has led to a productive month and something to build upon in October. I appreciate your support as we follow our season plan and look forward to continued success as we move forward and begin to concentrate on our offence. Go Eagles!!

Great job by all the Minor Bantam AA Blues Players this weekend. This was the first opportunity to play together as a team and the boys came through. Led by the goal-tending tandem of C.J. Lowe and K.J. Serpa, who shut the doors when there was trouble and gave the team a chance to win. The team fought adversity in both the semi finals and finals being down in both game to fight back for the victories. Very proud of each and ever player for their hard work. A special shout out to all those players playing AA hockey for the first time...Nice work!!

Eagles vs. Cougars in the battle of Burlington at the Garden City Early Bird. Cougars came out strong in the first few shift battling hard. Minor Bantam AA Blue responded by scoring quick and often in the first two periods. Playing sound defence for the rest of the game, they were able to secure a convincing 5-0 win over the Cougars. K.J. Serpa recorded his first shutout of the season through sound play and thanks to a commitment to defensive play on behalf of the team. Nice job Boys!!

With many players making their Eagles debut, the Minor Bantam AA Blue were able to capture their first win of the season (exhibition). Led by the stellar goal tending pairing of Cj Lowe and KJ Serpa, and strong defensive play, the team managed a 4-1 victory over rival Oakville  AA Blue. Matteo Cortese played an exceptional game in his return to AA hockey scoring twice, while Liam Wilson was able to score his first goal as an Eagle with a thundering slap shot from the point. Also scoring was returning AA Blue member Ben Nixon, with a beautiful deflection. Well Done Boys...Very proud of all ...

The Minor Bantam AA Blue team would like to extend a warm welcome to the following players who will be making their "Eagles Debut" this Sunday. Many have been waiting for this opportunity for a while...well it's finally here!!! Liam Wilson, Aiden Treanor, Owen Van der vinne, Nathan Ellis, Nathan Ringler, and Hiroji Boudreau.
