Peewee AAA Take Silver Medal at the Compuware Honeybaked AAA Invitational
The Peewee AAA team kicked off their season with a trip across
the border to play in the Compuware Honeybaked AAA Invitational tournament.
The team had a great start to the tournament going 3 and 0
in the round robin and out scoring their opponents 28-2 in the process.
In the semi-finals they met the only other Canadian team in the tournament, the London Knights. The Eagles jumped out to a very quick 3-0 lead and then held on to the shut out the rest of the game winning 3-0.
In the finals they met a strong team from the Honeybaked Hockey Club. The team was ranked 3rd overall in the United States the previous season. The Eagles fought hard and gave the Honeybaked team a run for their money but came up short losing 5-3.
The tournament was great success for team bonding and confidence building and it was a great spring board into what will be a great season.
