The boys posted solid results in Niagara Falls.
However, an early morning game against the Markham Waxers ended their hopes of reaching the Peter Mancuso November Challenge finals. The Waxers took a 1-0 lead after a missed hand pass that occurred during a lengthy scrum in Hunter's crease and an empty netter snuffed any chance of a late game comeback.
To the delight of the Coaching Staff, some of the things they have been working on in practice were evident in games. You may have noticed more use of the D in the offensive zone, a neutral zone transition and some well-timed D pinches.
The Coaching Staff will continue to focus on the intangibles like:
- MOTIVATION: Being puck hungry.
- EFFORT: 100% for an entire shift, period, game.
- RESPECT: Silly penalties are costly.
