By way of introduction, my name is
Michelle Wagg. My son has played with the Burlington Eagles since Tyke
and is now at Minor Bantam – we have always been so proud of the Gift of Giving
Back and what it does for our community so I decided to do a bit more to help
this year.
I will be in charge of organizing and scheduling the volunteers for the nights of the Gift of Giving Back – November 1 and 2. We are looking for a number of people to do a wide range of tasks. Tasks include things such as, sorters (sorting of the food into appropriate bins), weighers and runners (meeting cars and helping unload).
I am hoping you could reach out to your teams and ask who may be interested in volunteering some of their time. We need people from 4:00 – 9:30 both nights and we can accommodate shifts as short as 1 – 2 hours or as long as the whole evening!
We are also looking for Corporate volunteers – they will perform the same tasks as other volunteers but they will get to wear their corporate shirts/hats whatever and represent their companies proudly! So if you know a company that may be interested, please spread the word.
This is also a great opportunity for High School students who may need those volunteer hours. Volunteer letters will be provided.
It would be very helpful if you could please gather your teams volunteer commitments and send to me all at once, no later than October 20.
