The Burlington Eagles are excited to announce that tryout
registration is now open for the 2023-24 season! Teams in Under 10-16 will be
going through the tryout process starting April 24th through to May
14th. Each category is allocated seven days to complete their
tryouts:

Certain age groups will have different processes for where
the player will start the tryout process. Please see below for your child’s
selection stages:
Under 10 + 11 – every player is invited to
start the tryout process at AAA but has the option to opt out and start at AA.
Under 12-16 – Only players who participated in
AAA or AA hockey last season will be eligible to start the tryout process for
the first week at AAA. Players who participated in A or lower last season can
apply for permission to start at AAA by completing this form. This form must be completed before April 17th
for your player to be considered. Everyone else will be invited to start the
tryout process in week 2 during AA skates.
Under 18 – Under 18 tryouts will be run in
accordance with OHF Playing Regulation K. Identification skates will be run in
April and May for all Burlington residents for our AAA and AA teams. The final
tryout process will start on August 23rd to finalize rosters for the
U18 teams.
Prep Skates will be offered for the Under 10, 11, 12,
and 13 age groups. These will take place from April 3rd to the 19th,
and the schedule will be posted on the Eagles website here. These skates
will be run by our Skills Coaches and are NOT a part of the evaluation
process. You will be contacted directly by the Eagles office with your prep
skate assignments. A goalie clinic will be offered for these age groups
as well on April 22nd run by our Goalie Development Coaches and are
also not a part of the evaluation process. Both the prep skates and the goalie
clinic are included in your tryout registration fee. You will receive your
assignments from the office one week before the ice times.
A mandatory body checking clinic for players entering
Under 14 will be offered for all players who register for U14 tryouts and will
take place on April 20th and 21st. Each player will get
two sessions and you will be contacted directly by the Eagles office with your
hitting clinic assignments one week prior to the clinics.
The tryout fee will be $95 but will increase to $145
starting April 18th.
