TWO EAGLES SELECTED IN 2020 OHL PRIORITY SELECTION
The 2020 OHL Priority Selection took place remotely today, and two of our 2004 Eagles were selected during the process. Ryan McGuire (56th overall) and Brett Fullerton (278th overall) were selected by the Guelph Storm and the Saginaw Spirit, respectively.

Coach Terry Willis describes Ryan McGuire as a player with, "above average speed, puck skills, scoring ability and compete. He has a will to be better than everyone he plays against." Ryan has played for the Burlington Eagles for nine seasons, starting at the Novice AAA level in 2012-13 and continuing with the same team through all age groups.

Ryan says, "it's an honour to be selected by the Guelph Storm in the 2020 OHL Draft. I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates and coaches for all of their support. It's been great to have been a part of the Burlington Eagles organization for the past 9 years."

Coach Willis also gave us a description of Brett Fullerton: "Brett is a big goalie with above average puck skills and loads of potential. He has a great attitude and desire to be better." Brett joined the Eagles in 2018-19 and played for the AAA Eagles for two seasons. His progress through the ranks has been impressive, starting with the Ancaster Avalanche, before making the move to the Eagles last year and continuing with the team in the 19-20 season.

Brett says he, "couldn't be happier to get drafted to such a great organization. I'd like to thank all of my coaches, friends and family for all the support the past few years."

Everyone in the Eagles organization is very proud of all the work put in by Ryan and Brett, and we all wish them the best of luck in their future hockey endeavours!
