Winter Tires - Are they worth the investment?
As the flurries fly and the temperature tumbles, this question becomes a popular dinner table debate amongst Canadian families.
The question really boils down to grip, ie. as the temperature drops, winter tire compounds are designed to remain supple and thus, offer more grip.

Grip is equally important on the ice. Last night in Brampton, the boys had their all-season blades on...'spread eagle' took on an entirely new meaning. In the boys' defence, the ice was a little 'pondy' as the game began and although dried out, was not particularly great.
Ayden matched Brampton's tally with a natural hat trick and Rosser was able to finish the job late in the game.
