Tough tie in Guelph
The boys awoke from a slumber, but an undeserved PK led to an undeserved tie.
Before the game, the boys were aware they needed to wake up and re-assert themselves as a team to be feared in the Tri-County Smith division.
The call was answered and they boys got off to a fast start. Everything was clicking as the defence moved the puck out with grace & efficiency, forwards dumped & chased with ferocity and Hunter defended the mesh with calm & grace.
A strange and unwarranted call against Mr. Perfect resulted in a Guelph goal with only a few minutes remaining, followed by a Guelph equalizer shortly thereafter. Despite a last ditch Eagles push and Stack rocket, the boys left Guelph with long faces and only a single point.
Coach Colin's post game remarks were focused on the boys great pace and game control and he chocked the tie up to a zebra stealing a point from an eagle.
