Eagles Minor Atom A help Canada Bring home the Gold at the Nations Cup
The Burlington Eagles were
representing Canada in this past weekends Nations Cup in Detroit Michigan. The
Eagles closed out the tournament weekend with an amazing performance by the
kids to help Canada take the overall Championship.
The Eagles were 3 wins and 1 loss in the opening Round Robin with a great goal differential which locked them into the 2nd seed to match up with the Rochester Rattlers on Championship Sunday. The 2006 Eagles came out strong on Championship Sunday and opened the scoring 8 seconds into the last game and never looked back. After the game, the Eagles went on to cheer on their Canadian teammates from London who helped seal the deal for the Canadian teams. The atmosphere was amazing and Canada vs. USA chants, flags and jerseys were everywhere. London closed the deal and all the Canadian kids stormed the ice to celebrate. An amazing weekend and an amazing performance by the Eagles. #GoEagles
