Inspiring and enlightening hockey story!!
Submitted By Admin on Thursday, June 23, 2016
The linked story below was written by a player I feel very fortunate to have coached for 2 seasons in Bramalea Tier II

I was inspired by Mike Weaver and in awe of his determination to overcome the obstacles he faced and how he overcame adversity to succeed.  I never doubted he would and neither did our Head Coach at the time and current Leafs Scout Lindsay Hofford.  He was respected by all that he played with or against.  He set an example and raised the bar for his teammates.  He never complained about a coach or who he played with.  He never made excuses.  He just played the game the way it was meant to be played and out-worked the competition for his many personal and team successes.  Some of you closet "Hockey Wives" TV show fans might remember seeing Mike Weaver and his wife.  To our Eagles players and families I hope you will be inspired as well.   Hockey is about beating the odds, proving people wrong and overcoming obstacles.  It's not about where you play but how you play and what you are doing to make yourself better!  How badly do you want it??  Have a read....
