On Saturday June 6th,
we lost a valuable friend and Eagle family member. Thane Munn passed away peacefully after a
brief stay at the Carpenter Hospice with his loving family by his side.
Our Eagle family will not only miss his dry humor and his quick wit but also his dedication to the Eagle organization. Thane was an integral part of the decision making for our Club, as a member of our Executive team for over 15 years. Thane also represented the Eagles as a member of the executive team at Tri County Hockey. He was always eagerly available to help out at Tournaments and was on the “Gift of Giving Back” board of directors. Thane believed and demonstrated his love of giving back to his community. He also further supported his community by volunteering with Beauty and the Bistro Committee, helping to raise funds for a digital mammography machine that will help to save lives. I know I can speak for our Eagle family who together sends their prayers out to Kathy, Jess and Zachary and the rest of the Munn family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday June 12th at 2:00 pm at Tansley United Church, 2111 Walkers Line Burlington. Please wear your Eagle colours in honour of our dear friend.
