Burlington Minor Bantam A-Blue Eagles - Tri County Champs
Submitted By Admin on Thursday, April 2, 2015
This past Sunday, in front of an enthusiastic crowd at Central arena, the Minor Bantam A Blue team defeated the New Hamburg Huskies by a score of 4-1 to become the Minor Bantam Tri-County Champions. The victory capped off a fantastic year for the boys that was highlighted by a 14 game regular season undefeated streak and an impressive second place finish in the standings.

The goaltending duo of Cal Schell and Noah Kroeplin was impressive as they alternated games and both ended the season with the exact same record of 18-8-4!  The forwards, who worked hard in all areas of the ice, included: Carter Chard, Harrison Gill, Cayde Meldrum, Jacob Odbert, Zach Odbert, Nicholas Rea, Lucas Smith, Ethan Watson & Daniel Zaborski. The defense, which was very stable throughout the series and season, included: Kyle Banks, Kyle Good, Tanner Hodgson, Jonah Kastelic, Tate Smith & Gunnar Wicklund.

The team was lead by Head Coach Devin Smith and assistants Chris Chard and Todd Schell. The other big contributors to the team were Bob Wicklund (Trainer), June Gill (Manager) and Mike Smith (Goalie Coach).
