EAGLES ANNOUNCE 2023-24 AAA COACHES
The Burlington Eagles are excited to announce the Head Coaches for our AAA teams for next season. Corey Locke and the Hockey Committee have worked tirelessly to ensure that the best possible candidates are able to lead these teams into next year and will have the best opportunity to bring success to the Eagles next year!

Connor grew up and played minor hockey in Calgary, Alberta. He was drafted in the 2002 NHL entry draft by the LA Kings while playing on scholarship at the University of Denver, where he went on to win the WCHA Championship in 2002 and the NCAA National Championship and Student-Athlete of the Year Award in 2004. From there, Connor played 12 seasons professionally in the AHL with the Manchester Monarchs and the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins and in the NHL with the LA Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins. He then played 7 seasons in Germany in the DEL before retiring from professional hockey in 2016. Connor also represented Team Canada at three separate Deutschland Cup Tournaments. Throughout his career, he was fortunate to play under several great coaches such as Todd Richards, Dan Bylsma, Mark Messier, Todd Reirden, Bruce Boudreau, Andy Murray, and Jim Hughes. Connor hopes to pass on the knowledge he gained from his own mentors to the next generation of hockey players. His mission is to help develop his players’ skills while they continue to have fun during their time at the rink.

C.J. is entering his 11th season as a Head Coach and his 14th season overall. Before joining the Eagles, Morrison had the opportunity to coach the Acadia University Woman’s Club Hockey team; additionally he spent 3 seasons as an Asst. Coach with the Burlington Cougars Jr. A team. Since then, he has been a Head Coach with Blyth Academy U16 + U18 hockey club out of Burlington, and was recently the Head Coach of the Hamilton Kilty B’s hockey club. As a Head Coach, C.J. won National Championships at the U16 and U18 PREP levels, and additionally led Hamilton to a record of 40-7-1 in the 2021-22 season capturing the Golden Horseshoe Conference title with 81 points.

A Burlington Eagle, Morrison was drafted to the Guelph Storm in the 4th round in the 2000 OHL Priority Draft and spent 3 seasons playing with the Burlington Cougars from 2000-2003. C.J. then went out East to Nova Scotia and played for the Windsor Royals Junior B hockey club while attending Acadia University.

Tyler Wiseman was brought up through Burlington City Rep where he continued his career in Burlington, playing for the Burlington Cougars for 2 years. Tyler received a scholarship to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for Canisius College, where they attended the national championship for the first time in school history in the same season Tyler was awarded the All-Atlantic team. Following his collegiate career, Tyler went to play professionally in Germany for several years and was awarded MVP of the league in his first season.

Tyler coached the Metropolitan Riveters in the National Woman’s Hockey League where they won the Isobel Cup Championship. For last three season, Tyler has been an assistant coach as well as an NLT Skills Development Coach within the Eagles hockey club.

Steven is an Ottawa native, born in Nepean, Ontario and played his minor hockey in the HEO, GTHL, OMHA and junior hockey in the OHA and OHL, being drafted in the 4th round to the Plymouth Whalers. Steven played his minor hockey with the Oakville Rangers and Toronto Red Wings before starting his junior hockey career through to his overage season when he afterwards ventured into coaching; he has now been coaching nearly as long as he competed as an athlete. Steven is constantly learning and integrates his knowledge of biomechanics, physiology and cognitive development with his experiences as an athlete and works closely with closely with skill development coaches and mental performance coaches to continue his own growth as a coach. Steven is most excited to be working with the families in the Burlington Eagles, and on his off days you can find him at the local rink with a pen and paper watching and learning from his peers.

Jason played minor hockey in the GTHL with the Don Mills Flyers and Mississauga Reps. He played for the Junior “A” Oakville Blades before being drafted to the OHL’s Barrie Colts in the third round 47th overall. He played 2 years in the OHL for the Barrie Colts and St. Michael’s Majors before returning to Jr “A” Couchiching as a 20 year old scoring 140 points to lead Canadian junior A hockey and the third highest point total ever in an OJHL season. He continued to play at York University for 4 years where his team won the OUA Championship in 2003 and competed at the CIS National Tournament in 2003 and 2004. Jason then began his professional career in 2005 in Germany, where he continued to play a total of 13 seasons in the DEL and DEL2. He won the DEL2 Championship in 2015 and officially ranks 2nd in DEL2 All-Time goal scoring. Jason finished his Professional hockey career in 2018 with 717 career games played and has been coaching Rep hockey since. He is a certified NCCP D1 Level Coach.

Allan grew up in Mississauga playing in the GTHL for the Mississauga Reps for 6 years. Allan was drafted in the 3rd round, 1996 as an underage player to the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL. He went on to play there for 4 years and in 1999-2000 led the OHL in goals by a defenceman with 31 and was a second team all star. He was drafted in the 6th round 1998 by the Toronto Maple Leafs where  Allan went on to play 10 years professional and 659 career games including NHL/AHL/DEL – NHL stops include Carolina, New York and Edmonton.

With over a decade of experience coaching elite-level teams, Mike is returning with our 2010 AAA team for the 2023-24 season after coaching our U16 AAA team in 2021-22. Previously coaching in the OJHL with the Oakville Blades and Toronto Patriots, Mike’s teams have won multiple division titles and regular season champions in the 2015-18 time frame. While coaching with the Oakville Rangers, Mike’s teams also won three straight OMHA U18 AAA championships from 2009-2011.

Mike takes extreme pride in player development and helping young athletes achieve their goals. He believes that players learn best when they're having fun and encourages his athletes to push beyond their comfort zone. A believer in playing fast starts with thinking fast, Mike spends a lot of time helping athletes problem solve rather than provide answers. Since beginning his coaching career Mike has seen 3 of his former players reach the NHL level while countless more have received NCAA scholarships or signed with OHL programs. He looks forward to helping players in his hometown exceed expectations and achieve their goals.

Terry has been a resident of Burlington for over 25 years and has been involved with the Eagles organization for almost all of them, all his boys played for the Eagles. A former OHL and University defenceman with the Peterborough Petes and University of Guelph, he enjoys giving back to the game and doing his best to develop his players to be the best they can be as hockey players and people.

As a former Eagle and a native of Burlington, Jeff has spent the last 15 years helping minor hockey players achieve their hockey goals. Jeff has been involved in the U16 year/program 7 times and has helped 30 players achieve their goal of being drafted to the OHL. Additionally, his teams have won two OHMA Silver medals, one gold medal, and a GTHL Championship. Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge in both player and coach development. He has also spent some time with the Brampton Bombers Jr B Hockey Club as an associate coach. Jeff is a Hockey Canada Certified High Performance 1 Hockey Coach.

In addition to season-long coaching, Jeff has also been involved with the OHL/OHF U16 program as a coach and evaluator. In 2009, Jeff was proud to receive the Coach Of The Year award from the Burlington Eagles Hockey Club.

Mark is returning as our U18 AAA Head Coach after two successful seasons. The Eagles have appeared in the OMHA Top 5 rankings and have been atop the SCTA standings most of the season, while winning the 17th Annual Ottawa Senators U18 Showcase in October, and reaching the semi-finals in the prestigious Circle K Classic in Calgary over the winter break. Mark grew up playing all his minor hockey for the Burlington Eagles having great success with OMHA wins and OHF appearances over his minor hockey career. Mark continued playing in both the GOJHL and the OJHL before heading off to play USports at Ryerson University. Mark continued playing hockey for 2 years in the SPHL before heading to Europe to complete 3 more seasons, landing in France, Germany, and Sweden.

While in Sweden, Mark began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach with the U20 program with his hockey club Boras. After his final year of playing, Mark became an Assistant Coach with the Oakville Rangers U18 AAA program during the 2020/2021 season. Mark plans to use his playing and coaching experience to develop young players in the U18 AAA program both on and off the ice. Mark’s number one priority is to build a culture that helps players both succeed as a team and as an individual. He is excited about returning to Burlington to continue to build the Burlington Eagles U18 AAA Program.
