As we enter the final weeks of the 2021-22 season, the
Burlington Eagles would like to congratulate all the teams that have progressed
out of their round robin stage and into their league championships! In total we
have four confirmed AAA teams progressing, four confirmed AAs, and two
confirmed A teams.
In the SCTA playoffs, we have already had four teams progress out of the round robin: Under 10, Under 11, Under 16, and Under 18 will all play in the OMHA Championships this upcoming weekend March 25th-27th. While their SCTA round robins have not yet been completed, we also know that the Under 13 and Under 15 teams still have a strong chance of advancing with one week remaining.
In the Tri-County league, the Eagles currently have a confirmed six teams advancing: Under 10 AA Gold, Under 12 AA, Under 12 A, Under 14 AA Gold, Under 18 AA, and Under 18 A. Three of these teams will be playing their Tri-County Championship games in Burlington this upcoming weekend! Under 10 AA Gold, Under 12 AA, and Under 18 A will all look to advance to the OMHA Championships this weekend on home ice, while U12 A will be playing in Oakville, and the Under 14 AA Gold and Under 18 AA teams will be looking to win their league championships in Halton Hills.
Finally, due to Tri-County rules there are three teams that will be playing tiebreaker games this week to advance to their respective Tri-County Championships. Under 13 AA Gold plays tonight against Guelph for a potential matchup against Garden City later this week; Under 12 AE travels to Caledon on Wednesday night to try and advance; while the Under 15 AA Gold team hosts Orangeville on Wednesday night to advance to a Tri-County Championship weekend that would be hosted by Burlington.
