The Burlington Eagles are
thrilled to announce our AAA coaches for the U14-18 age groups for the 2021-22
hockey season! Our Selection Committee was overwhelmed with the number of
applications received and they spent many hours considering, interviewing, and
selecting qualified candidates to lead our Eagles into next season. We believe
they have selected some incredibly qualified individuals to pick up our teams
after a disrupted season and have full confidence that they will improve our Eagles
athletes as players and as people. Corey Locke and Hockey Committee are proud
to introduce the following coaches and welcome them into the Burlington Eagles
organization:
DWAYNE MCKILLOP – U14 AAA HEAD COACH

As a sports administration graduate and with a background working in professional sports and event management, Dwayne feels that sports are more than just a game. Dwyane and his coaching staff believe and understand that they have a major role in the growth and development of our players, not only as athletes/hockey players but also as individuals. Sports are a formula that assists in developing life skills and how we present ourselves as a coaching staff plays an important role in that. With over 350 regular season wins & several rep league & tournament championships, Dwayne and his staff pride themselves on allowing every player to succeed. The players will continue to learn to respect their peers, their coaches, officials, opponents, parents and especially themselves.

MIKE DALEY – U16 AAA HEAD COACH

A new addition to the Eagles program Mike has over a decade of experience coaching elite-level teams with coaching roles in the OJHL (Oakville Blades/Toronto Patriots) and the OMHA (Oakville Rangers).
A native of Burlington, Mike's Patriots teams won over 100 games across 3 seasons winning the inaugural Brant Snow trophy as OJHL regular season champions in '17-18, while his Blades teams won 3 straight South Division titles from '15-17. During his OMHA days with the Oakville Rangers, Mike's teams won 3 straight OMHA U18 AAA championships '09-11, while he also saw success at the OHL Cup with the U16 AAA program in '14-15. A one-time Burlington City Rep player, Mike played his junior hockey in the OJHL with the Hamilton Kilty B's before turning to lacrosse where he was a 3rd round selection in the NLL entry draft.
Mike takes extreme pride in player development and helping young athletes achieve their goals. He believes that players learn best when they're having fun and encourages his athletes to push beyond their comfort zone. A believer in playing fast starts with thinking fast, Mike spends a lot of time helping athletes problem solve rather than provide answers. Since beginning his coaching career Mike has seen 3 of his former players reach the NHL level while countless more have received NCAA scholarships or signed with OHL programs. He looks forward to helping players in his hometown exceed expectations and achieve their goals.
