Submitted By Kyle Mundell on Friday, June 5, 2020
Congratulations to Kingston Frontenacs star and former Burlington Eagle Shane Wright on winning the CHL’s Rookie of the Year award today.

Through 58 games in the OHL this season, Shane scored 39 goals and added 27 assists for a total of 66 points in the regular season. Shane also played for Team Canada “Black” in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge during the first week of November in 2019. Shane also won the OHL’s prize for Rookie of the Month in November and February, as well as winning the OHL Player of the Month for February when he scored 24 points in 13 games.

Shane played for the Eagles for five seasons from Under 9 through to Under 13.

The Eagles family is very proud of Shane and we look forward to what he continues to accomplish in the coming years!
