University of Waterloo Youth Sport & Health Research
Are you a parent of a youth athlete with asthma or allergies? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

My name is Francesca Cardwell and I am a researcher from the University of Waterloo. We are currently conducting research related to the links between physical activity, the environment and health in youth team sport in Ontario.

One component of our research involves a 10-minute online survey for parents who have children (18 or younger) that are affected by asthma or allergy and participate in team sport. We are hoping to further understand the experiences and opinions of parents/players affected by asthma and allergy, and we are looking for as many parents as possible to fill out the survey. We hope the results of our research will help improve the youth sport experience in Ontario for athletes and coaches alike.

The survey is completely anonymous and confidential (responses cannot be tracked back to a name or email address), and names/club affiliations are not included. The survey can be found here:

If you would like further information related to the research, please let me know and I can address any questions.

Thank you for your time and participation.
