Minor Bantam A Eagles - OMHA Champions
The
Burlington Eagles Minor Bantam A were crowned OMHA Champions following their
Game 5 victory of 4-0 over the Quinte West Hawks.
The victory capped an emotional roller coaster season for the players. They
finished second in Tri County regular league play, but that only helped
motivate them as they began their quest for an OMHA title.
The players had their back to the wall a number of times and faced elimination on numerous occasions, but they managed to win both the quarter finals against Guelph and the semi finals against St. Thomas, needing 5 games in both series to do so. Never taking the easy road, the team needed to play all 5 games against Quinte West to finally bring home the gold.
Congratulations to all 17 players on a great season and their OMHA Championship.
