The U13A Team had a very successful weekend at their first
tournament of the year! The excitement
and energy of the players, coaching staff, and fans to be back on the ice was
evident.
The team dominated the round robin qualifier games at the Garden City Early Bird Tournament, clinching not one but two thrilling wins with less than 40 seconds on the clock! Below is a look at the teams record heading into the final championship game:
Friday
Win 5-1 against Heartland Dragons (Carvalho)
Win 3-2 against Halton Hills Thunder
Saturday
Win 4-3 against Heartland Dragons (Andrisani)
Win 5-0 against Goulding Park Rangers
The Eagles met the Mississauga Heartland Dragons (Andrisani) once again in the Championship game. Unfortunately, the Eagles were unable to secure a win and take home the trophy, but the team graciously accepted the loss and is determined to take the trophy home next time!
The coaching staff is very proud of the team’s efforts and pleased to see this new group of players coming together, having fun and working hard to succeed. Go Eagles!
