EAGLES MIDGET AAA OTTAWA TRIP RECAP
This past weekend the Burlington Eagles Midget AAA team,
boarded a team bus to the Ottawa Senators Midget AAA Showcase for our first
tournament of the season.
The weekend was
planned as a players only tournament, giving us an off ice focus of team
bonding and accountability. We traveled down to Ottawa a day early and took
advantage of the time planning team events, which included a Bowling
competition and a tour of the Canadian War Museum.
On the ice the team competed well but finished 2nd in their division and a point short of a wild card seed with a 2-1-1 record. While it was not the end result we traveled there for, we came away from the weekend with many positives on and off the ice to build on moving forward.
The team showed maturity, pride and respect representing the Burlington Eagles while traveling in the Nation’s capital. It was continually being noted by those who we met along the way.
