Bantam AA Gold win the Kitchener Early Bird Tournament
Submitted By Marie-Claude Morrissette on Tuesday, September 10, 2019
As is the case in all Early Bird Tournaments there was some early timing issues and some summer rust to shake. With a win against Waterloo and hard fought loss to Kitchener, it set up a round robin game against our rivals Milton. As has been the case for the last 3 years, when it comes to playing the Milton Winterhawks, our boys get pumped for playoff style hockey. They came away with a 2 – 0 victory to end the Milton’s undefeated tournament and with a deceive 6 to 1 victory over Humberview later in the day, the finals were set and once again, Gold vs Milton and did not disappoint. With a playoff atmosphere and intensity, The Eagles scored 3 unanswered goals to come away with a 3 to 1 championship win.  Fantastic way to start the season.
