EAGLES ANNOUNCE NEW PRESIDENT
The Burlington Eagles Board of Directors are pleased to announce current board member, Dave Armstrong, will be assuming the role of President of Burlington City Rep Hockey Club effective immediately.

Dave is a long time resident of the City of Burlington, and owner/founder of Global Fuels.  As a father of four, Dave has long been involved in the sporting world.  A passionate supporter of hockey and a philanthropist by nature, Dave and Global Fuels are sponsors of “Big Play” and “Dreams Come True” Hockey Canada campaigns to give underprivileged children the opportunity to play organized hockey.

A graduate of McMaster’s engineering program (B Eng), and business school (MBA), Dave brings a wealth of board experience to the role having served on the boards of Hillfield-Strathallan College, BG Fuels, Brookfield Asset Management (advisory committee) and the Fire Marshall’s Life Safety Council.

You can find Dave at the Burlington rinks at any given time, listening and talking with parents, and/or watching his youngest son play.  We warmly welcome Dave to the role and thank him for accepting the position.

Please introduce yourself to Dave at the rink. As Dave steps into the role of President, John Tait will now move into the role of Past President.

John is a founding member of the Burlington City Rep Hockey Club.  His passion, love of the game, and dedication to our City and our Club are unparalleled.

The role of President comes with no compensation, requires endless hours at the arena and the office, and an abundance of patience from your family and friends.

John has served our club well and there are no words to adequately say thank you.  John’s role now morphs into an advisory role to the new President.  On behalf of Eagles past and present, thank you for all of your work John.
