Bronze Medalists in Lake Placid, New York
The Global Fuel Minor Pee Wee AA Blue team recently returned from Lake Placid, New York, where they earned a Bronze Medal.
Competing in the American Cup Tournament was an amazing experience for these young Eagles. The majority of their games were played on the 1980 Rink in the Olympic Center. They battled teams from New York State, Massachusetts and Ontario.
Missing out on qualifying for the Gold Medal game by one point, they rallied and defeated the Bethlehem Eagles, 4-3 in the Bronze Medal game.
The weekend was also filled with Olympic activities, throughout the village there were many 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic attractions to visit. It was a non-stop weekend.
