Player-Coach?
Everyone thought player-coaches were a thing of the past.
After a tough couple of periods versus Erin, Coach Colin decided that it was the players' turn to try coaching. This decision was based on the fact that everything the actual coaching staff was trying to teach was taking a u-turn on it's way from the ears to the brain.
The players quickly become charged with managing the gates, line changes and talking about missed opportunities. There was some mild post-game chatter about an un-sanctioned (and highly unlikely) coaches "strike" today, meaning the boys would have to organize and execute an actual practice.
Taking this possibility to heart, Cole came to today's practice equipped with a legit practice plan, a whistle and dry-erase board. He was ready to face the challenge if required.
A big day is ahead of us tomorrow as the boys take on Oakville Blue and then participate in the Hometown Hockey Parade.
