Peewee AA Gold Wins Stratford Silver Stick
The Charcoal Group Peewee AA Gold Eagles traveled to Stratford over the holidays to compete in the Regional Silver Stick Tournament. The Eagles won 2 and lost 1 in the round robin, advancing to the semi finals to play the host Stratford Warriors, which they won 2-0 to advance to the finals against Guelph.
In the finals, the Eagles avenged their only round robin loss in a hard fought game. It took 7 overtime periods, culminating in full ice 1 on 1 before the Eagles secured a 2-1 victory with a 2 on 1 power play goal. Congratulations to the boys for their effort over the 5 games. With the victory, the team qualified for the International Silver Stick Finals in Port Huron, Michigan, January 18-21. Good luck boys.
