PVS Contractors Peewee AAA Second Tournament Win in a Row
The Peewee AAAs sponsored by PVS Contractors won their second tournament of the
season. They entered the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Backspin Classic Tournament just
3 weeks after winning the Kitchener Blueline Tournament.
The team went 3-0-1 in the round robin tying a strong team from London 3-3. The boys played hard and fought back from a 3-1 deficit to get the tie.
In the semi-finals they met a familiar foe in the Hamilton Junior Bulldogs, a team which that had not beaten this year and at the time of the game they were tied for first with Hamilton in the league standings. There was a lot on the line in this game. The boys got a good start and took a 2-0 lead. Hamilton battled back and tied the game 2-2 and forced overtime. The Eagles scored in first 5 minutes of overtime to win the game and move on to the finals.
In the finals they got another chance to prove to London who the better team was. The boys brought their A game from start to finish and defeated London 4-0 with a solid performance to win the championship.
The team is now preparing for the Cogeco Golden Horseshoe Tournament with hopes of a third tournament championship.
