Each year the Burlington Eagles operate a rep development program known as the Jr. Eagles, for six (and some five) year old boys and girls with a keen interest in hockey. The program, now entering its’ 33rd year, runs from October to March. Players attend two x 1 hour skills development sessions each week.
This season, the Jr. Eagles will once again continue their special partnership with The Pond, accessing their on-ice expertise in the form of Greg, Michelle, and Ryan Moore to assist with player development.
Our program emphasizes the required power skating skills alongside stick handling and puck control.
Jr. Eagles provides players with access to skilled, accredited coaches and special guest instructors. The emphasis is on player development with a fairly intense program in a fun atmosphere. These Jr. Eagles players form the nucleus of the Eagles Tyke rep teams (AAA, AA, and A level) year after year.
