Congratulations to the Burlington Eagles Minor Bantam AAA Team for winning the 2015 Chicago Bauer Invitational!!!
430 teams, 7740 players, 964 games and a champion from Burlington… In what was advertised as the largest hockey tournament on the planet, the Minor Bantam AAA Burlington Eagles team soared in to town and were perfect in Chicago running the table going 7-0 and bringing home top prize. Our Eagles BLEW through the opposition in the Windy City tournament by a goal margin of 38-10 along the way.
Congratulations and take a bow coaches James Perry, Chris Phillips, Tyler Simpson and Adam Swartz who stayed up late every night preparing hard for the opposition. Well done guys! Karen and Hay Chan for being the best managers in the Eagles organization, our Spectacular parent rep Barb Cooper for working so hard and being so organized (And a great Euchre player) and the Eagles players who played amazing hockey under tough circumstances cramming 7 victories in to 3 days of great hockey. A special shout out to tournament team MVP Ryan Mansfield who was awesome all weekend. Well done Manny!
