Introducing The 2015-16 Midget AAA Team Staff
Chris Brennan – Head Coach  

Chris joins the Eagles with an extensive coaching background that includes numerous years Head Coaching Midget AAA and AA.  Chris has also been an Assistant Coach at the university and Jr. B level and Head Coached in a professional women’s league comprised of teams in Toronto, Brampton, Montreal, Calgary and Boston.

Coaching National and Olympic players as was the case in the professional women’s league that Chris coached, he brings insight of how the most elite players in the world prepare on and off the ice for competition.  Of note, during the Sochi Olympics 27 players from this league represented Canada, USA, Finland and Switzerland.

Additionally, Chris has coached an OMHA Championship, has had an undefeated season, evaluated and coached at three provincial U17 main camps, has had numerous kids successfully advance from Midget to Junior and also offers the unique perspective from having volunteered his time scouting and learning from an OHL Coach who had previously been an Assistant Coach in the NHL for nine seasons.

Brad Williams – Associate Coach

Brad has worked with Chris for several years and brings a tremendous wealth of coaching experience.  From professional assignments in the IHL to coaching in Europe where Brad was an Assistant Coach for 19 years.  During his time in Europe Brad’s teams competed in 14 World Cup Championships and 2 Olympics.

In addition to coaching, Brad also runs a goalie school where he provides private sessions and group camps throughout North America.  Brad’s one on one sessions include minor hockey players, Jr. A players and professional players.

Outside hockey Brad currently works with the Toronto Maple Leafs baseball club and has also been a trainer with Baseball Canada’s Olympic program.


Paul Ferri – Assistant Coach

Paul is an experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach and owns his own facility in Oakville. He specializes in the unity between on and off ice strength and conditioning to benefit the athlete overall.

Paul comes with lots of experience having worked in the industry and a variety of different levels. Paul has been involved with Minor Hockey for the last couple of years but has lots of experience working with players at the NCAA, OHL, AHL and NHL levels.  

Paul has worked with the NHL's Florida Panthers and will be working with the Winnipeg Jets this upcoming season.


Casey Cosgrove- Assistant Coach

Casey has been actively involved with the Burlington Eagles for the past 11 years in various capacities - as a head coach, associate/assistant coach, manager, parent rep with the 1998 and 1999 age groups. Casey has also worked as a coach and in the development of local rep and university level baseball players at various levels for the past 25 years. Casey brings a keen interest and background in developing and nurturing the leadership potential of athletes both on and off the ice.


Bill McTaggart - Trainer

Bill has worked for 37 years as a career Paramedic in Ontario having worked in Toronto, Niagara and Halton/Mississauga jurisdictions, including a number of operational and management roles.  Bill also worked as one of the first flight medics in Ontario. 

In retirement, Bill continues to work in related part-time and contract positions, including as a college instructor and clinical supervisor for a local college Paramedic Program, and as an Inspector with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Bill is currently pursuing his second career, and is actively studying the practice of manual osteopathy.

As a Trainer, Bill started volunteering with a high school football team before moving to hockey and wrestling.  He currently is Trainer for the Eagle’s Midget AAA Team, and Head Trainer for the Eagle’s Rep Hockey Club.  Bill also assists as a senior Trainer at the McMaster University wrestling program.
