The CIBC Wood Gundy Bantam
AE Eagles battled through a long and gruelling schedule down the playoff
stretch. Taking Orangeville to Game 5 and narrowly missing a spot in the
OMHA Semi-Finals, they immediately returned to Tri-County league playoffs to go
5-0-1 and advance to the league championship.
These boys spent all season with a short bench with rarely the same lines in play on either forward or defence as a result. Illness going through the team did not stop them from digging deep to take their final series against Erin-Hillsburgh to Game 5 before winning the Tri-County Championship on home ice. This was a very well-deserved end to a challenging season for this great group of players.
The team would like to thank our sponsor CIBC Wood Gundy; our families for their support throughout the season; our AP players Nate Jackett, Mitch Ovens and Jonathan Mandalfino; and our team staff - Coach Stephen Day, Assistant Coach Paul Reid, Assistant Coach Phil Kavanagh, Trainer Jason Anderson, and practice Coach Darrell Byers.
