The
Bantam A Eagles won the Brampton Regional Silver Stick Tournament, earning a
spot in the Silver Stick Finals in Port Huron, Michigan in January.
In another strong showing in tournament play, the Bantam A Eagles were once again undefeated in their third straight tournament win. Round Robin play on Saturday and Sunday had the Eagles playing the Ajax Knights, Woolwich Wildcats and Oshawa Minor Generals. The Eagles started the tournament with a 2-1 win over the Ajax Knights in the early game on Saturday, followed by a convincing 8-3 win over the Woolwich Wildcats. With a 3-3 tie against the Oshawa Minor Generals on Sunday, the Eagles ended round robin play in first place in their division. They met the Port Perry Predators in the Semi-Final on Monday and came out on top 7-2. The Eagles then faced the host team Brampton 45’s in the championship game coming out with another decisive 5-1 victory to clinch the championship. Congrats on another great tournament win!
