Under-15 AA Blue - IRISH SOUTH BEND CUP TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
Submitted By Frank Hartshorne on Monday, October 28, 2019
The Bantam AA Blue team made the journey down to South Bend Indiana over the weekend to take part in the Irish South Bend Cup Tournament Series. The boys rode a wave of excellence and went undefeated to take home the Championship Sunday afternoon. The boys finished the round robin in first place never trailing in any games. In the semi finals the boys vastly outplayed the competition from Erie but found themselves down 2 goals entering the third period. The boys stormed back with a 4-goal output in the 3rd to move on to the finals against Barrie. The finals game was played in the same arena the boys saw the NCAA Fighting Irish play the night before. In the finals the boys secured the Championship with another 4-goal game to take the finals and the Championship back to Canada.

Our game venues and travels around the city were punctuated with the backdrop of the University Notre Dame culture and atmosphere. Our stay put us in the heart of the Notre Dame University Community with the team taking tours of the University grounds, visits to the Notre dame Book Store for souvenirs and a Saturday night NCAA Hockey game at the official home of the fighting Irish Hockey team.  Congratulations to the boys, coaches, staff & parents.
