The Gino's Pizza Atom A Eagles won the Brampton Silver Stick Tournament on December 30th, qualifying the team for the 48th International Silver Stick Tournament to be held in Sarnia January 13th to the 15th.
After a stand out performance by goalie Morgan Colyer in the semis versus Caledon, it was goalie Nolan Bigras turn to lay down a terrific performance in the finals versus the Bradford Bulldogs. The Eagles had fallen to Bradford in the round robin, but history was not going to repeat itself in the final! Burlington stormed out of the gate with the first goal of the game 7 seconds in! The boys racked up 5 more goals taking the championship 6-3 over a stunned Bradford contingent. It was a true effort with standout contributions from every player. Members of the winning team on defense; Eric Doucet, Alan Livingston, Lachlan McGowan, Philip Marcarian, Jack Pagnani, and Cooper Williams. On forward; Zach Barron, Jackson Boose, Jacob Buitenhuis, Quinn Creamer, Jackson Driscoll, Hudson Farrell, Rhys Hay, Zach Stefnitz, and Jace Thomas.
