Minor Peewee AA Blue Win Montreal Fall Classic!
The Minor Peewee AA Blue team
travelled to Montreal this past weekend to participate in the Canlan Montreal
Youth Fall Classic.
The team skated to a record of 1-1-2 in the round robin games securing a berth in the Semi-Finals Sunday morning. Head Coach Greg James has been reinforcing his "NO QUIT" philosophy all season long and it was very evident that team was buying in. After giving up an early goal to Newmarket, the Eagles stormed back with 3 unanswered goals to stun them with a 3-1 Victory. In the Finals they faced a tough York Toros team. The Eagles trailed 3-1 after 2 periods and between the 2nd and 3rd HC Greg rallied the players telling them to dig down deep, stay to the game plan and not quit. The team responded by netting 4 answered goals in the 3rd to claim a 5-3 victory and become the tournament Champions. Congratulations to HC Greg James, his Assistants and all the players on being the Montreal Youth Fall Classic Champions!
